RECIRCULATED AIR FOR HAZE-FREE COOKING
When cooking vapours can’t be vented outside, extractors that recirculate the air are the ideal answer. However, these solutions are not always very efficient. The AT 400 system fills this gap by capturing vapours and steam at source and directing them through an ingenious cascade of filters before returning the cleaned air to the room. Because of its compact and highly efficient design, the AT 400 is particularly suitable for freestanding kitchen islands.
PROFESSIONAL-STANDARD TECHNOLOGY FOR PRIVATE KITCHENS
The recirculating extractor system delivers a level of efficiency and quietness previously only seen in large-scale systems for professional use. Designed as a backsplash, the AT 400 is mounted straight onto the worktop and extracts vapours from one or several hobs with a maximum airflow of 750 m³ per hour. The base cabinet only has to accommodate the fan housing with the active carbon filter that eliminates odours. Grease particles are removed from the air beforehand by a newly developed centrifugal filter. All the filter units are simple to replace and easy to clean.
MULTIFUNCIONAL DESIGN APPROACH
The AT 400 combines exhaust air treatment and lighting with an extra work surface to create a multifunctional product that meets the most exacting requirements. Our concept – developed in close collaboration with Gaggenau’s in-house design team – uses this combination to draw attention to the innovative potential inherent in direct extraction and integrates both the visual and functional qualities typical of a Gaggenau product.
